Socio-Economicaly Disadvantaged Groups Cell

The Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups Cell (SEDG Cell) is a dedicated initiative designed to promote equity and inclusion within educational institutions. Its primary objective is to ensure equal access to education and institutional resources for students from marginalized communities. These include Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), Other Backward Classes (OBCs), minority groups, and individuals with disabilities.

Objectives:

• Identify & address challenges faced by Socio-Economically Disadvantaged students.
• Facilitate scholarships, fee waivers & financial aid programs.
• Organize skill-development workshops & career counselling sessions.
• Promote inclusivity & create a supportive learnig environment.

Key Functions:

• To protect all constitutional rights of the SEDGs stuents.
• To ensure that the institution us inclusive, safe & secure for the SEDGs students.
• To provide socio-emotional & acdemic support and mentoring for the students belonging to the SEDGs through proper counselling & montoring programme.

The Cell strives to empower through education, ensuring their holistic growth & equal opportunities in academic & professional spheres.
