Road Safety Club

In compliance with the orders of the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Himachal Pradesh, a Road Safety Club has been constituted in Government College Bharmour. The main objective behind the formation of the Club is to enhance awareness among students regarding various road safety issues, with the aim of minimizing road accidents and the consequent loss of life.

The students sensitized through the activities of the Road Safety Club are expected not only to adopt safe road practices themselves but also to spread awareness about the importance of road safety among the wider community. In this manner, the message of road safety can reach all sections of society and help in making adherence to traffic rules and safety norms a way of life.

The Road Safety Club of the College functions under the guidance of the Nodal Officer, Mr. Naresh Kumar, Assistant Professor of Political Science.

The Club organizes and conducts various activities throughout the academic session, including:

• Organising competitions such as painting, slogan writing, declamation, and skits based on road safety themes.
• Conducting training camps and awareness programmes to promote road safety among students.
• Designing high-quality road safety awareness wall calendars for display in classrooms.
• Printing and distribution of attractive road safety awareness materials such as booklets, diaries, scales, etc.
• Distributing road safety awareness material among students to reinforce safe road behaviour.
