Electoral Literacy club

The Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) of Government College Bharmour is established to create awareness among students regarding the electoral process and the significance of democratic participation. Functioning under the nodal ship of Mr. Naresh Kumar, Assistant Professor of Political Science, the club undertakes various awareness programmes and activities to promote informed, ethical, and responsible citizenship among students.

The club organizes activities such as voter awareness campaigns, interactive sessions on electoral laws and procedures, seminars, workshops, debates, quizzes, poster-making competitions, and pledge-taking programmes. It also observes important national days related to democracy and elections, disseminates information on voter registration and ethical voting practices, and encourages student participation in mock polls and discussions. Through these initiatives, the ELC strives to strengthen democratic values and foster a culture of active civic engagement among students.
